New Publications and Initiatives in Byzantine Philosophy
There are a few new initiatives that will be of interest to network members and students interested in Byzantine Philosophy.
Be sure to check out network member Peter Adamson's podcast "The History of Philosophy Without Any Gaps". In addition to great podcasts on the history of philosophy from a global perspective, upcoming episodes will deal specifically with Byzantine Philosophy.
This podcast can be found here: https://historyofphilosophy.net/

A selection of papers in English by Linos Benakis have been published as Byzantine Philosophy: An introductory Approach (Staarbrücken: Lambert Academic Publishing, 2017).
There is a new English translation and commentary on George Gemisto Plethon’s On Aristotle’s Departures from Plato, by Börje Bydén, Katerina Ierodiakonou and others in Börje Bydén and Christina Thomsen Thörnqvist, eds. The Aristotelian Tradition: Aristotle’s Works on Logic and Metaphysics and Their Reception in the Middle Ages. Papers in Mediaeval Studies, 28 (Turnhout: Brepols, 2017).
